The summer was too short, even with my hiatus to D.C. I finished 3/5 of the lesson plans and have made 0 progress on the writing journal.

I've never seen Sam so drunk as last night. Maker's Mark is not his friend. Whiskey is never my friend. The last 3 times I've drunk red wine, I've managed to spill it all over the damn place. School starts in less than a week, I better get my shit together...

There is truly 6 degrees of separation. I met this cool kid in my class @ DBCC who just so happens to be good friends w/ this other cool kid that is in the photo program w/ my husband. Then, as we're getting shit faced, he informs me that he knows of one of my best friends(because they both surf the inlet) He has also recently traveled to some of the same places in Europe that I did and coincidently had some of the same experiences. Although i never heard a Euro chick fart aloud in mid sentence...

As we watched a Cadilliac commercial advertising their largest SUV's yet, the logo came across the T.V screen, "Breaking through". My huband turned to me and said, "Breaking through the ozone". America is a sad sad place, and the more I travel out of country, the more apparant it becomes.

Sam's friend wants to sell his house. he said that he'd be happy making $20,000 on it. That would bring the price to $107,000. The neighborhood is O.K. The house is UGLY, and I mean fugly ugly. I'm wondering if we should go for it....

Just got back from Paris. It was really exhilerating
Some things to note about Parisians:
They love eggs(eggs on pizza, grilled cheese(called a croque madame), and I'm talkin' raw sunny side up)
The metro rocks!(even in another language)
boy, do they love to smoke(even in the airport)
almost every woman wears a scarf somewhere on her body
no regular coffee-only espresso and cafe au lait
the Eiffel Tower is a lot bigger than it looks in pics
no fat people!(only the Americans)
